Street Style Tawa Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:

600 Grams Chicken Boneless Thighs
4 Tbsp Oil
2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
1 Tbsp Garlic Paste
1 Tbsp Ginger Paste
1/2 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Red Chilies Powder
1/2 Tsp Cumin Powder
1/2 Tsp Coriander (Crushed)
1/4 Tsp Garam Masala Powder
1/2 Cup Yogurt
2 Large Tomatoes Diced (Remove Seeds)
1/4 Cup Water
3 Tbsp Lemon Juice

Complete Recipe (Step by Step)

  • Place a hot plate on flame and add 4 tbsp oil with 2 tbsp unsalted butter.
  • When butter melts, add 1 tbsp ginger paste and 1 tbsp garlic paste and fry for a few seconds.
  • Add 600 grams chicken boneless thighs. You can add chicken boneless breasts too but thigh boneless is preferred for this dish because of its tender and juicy.
  • Fry chicken till it turns white on high flame.
  • When chicken turns white than add 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tbsp cumin powder, 1/2 tsp crushed coriander, 1/4 garam masala powder, 1 tsp red chilies powder. Cook chicken with spices for 2 minutes.
  • Take 2 large tomatoes, remove its seeds and diced it. Add in the chicken and cook for 1 more minute. Than add 1/4 cup water. Cover and cook on low flame for 10 – 15 minutes. Keep stiring in between.
  • After 15 minutes when tomatoes are softened, add some finely chopped green chilies and add 3 tbsp lemon juice. Also add 1/2 cup thick yogurt. Mix all the ingredients well.
  • Cook uncover on medium to high flame.
  • When is tender. All the ingredients are well combined and oil has separated. Garnish with coriander leaves, green chilies, onion circles and lemon slices.
  • Serve Tawa Chicken on Tawa or Hot Plate and enjoy finger licking Tawa Chicken with Puri Paratha.
