Ingredients:
2 Cup Coconut Powder
2 Cup Full Cream Milk Powder
1&1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Suji
1/2 Cup Ghee / Oil
2 Crushed Cardamoms
Some Nuts (Pistachio / Almonds)
Complete Recipe (Step by Step)
- Take 2 cups of milk powder in a bowl.
- Add 2 cups of coconut powder. Add 1&1/2 cup sugar.
- Keep adding little water in the mixture till its combined but not too watery.
- Heat 1/2 cup ghee or oil. Fry 1/2 cup suji on low flame.
- Fry suji till ghee separates and suji turns golden.
- Add 2 crushed cardamoms.
- When suji is in golden colour and its texture looks like a sand. Than add milk, coconut and sugar mixture in the pan.
- Add mixture on low flame.
- Cook till water dries out.
- Keep stirring continuously to avoid burning of the Halwa.
- When all water dries out and the mixture starts leaving the pan. Than add finely chopped almonds and pistachios over the Halwa.
- Coconut Halwa is ready to serve.
- For Barfi, grease any deep dish.
- Spread the coconut Halwa in the dish. Press and spread evenly in the dish.
- Sprinkle some chopped almonds and pistachios.
- Press all the nuts in the Halwa.
- Slice Halwa in Diamond shape while its still warm.
- Refrigerate for 2 – 3 hours.
- Once chilled, take out the Diamond shape Barfi with a spatula and serve.
- It’s best for Heart, Brain and Eye-sight.
