Ingredients:

8 – 9 Pieces Chicken Drumsticks
1+1/2 Tsp Salt or to Taste
1 Tbsp Ginger Paste
1 Tbsp Garlic Paste
1/3 Cup Vinegar
1/2 Cup Thick Yogurt
3/4 Cup Cream
2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
1+1/2 Tsp Red Chili Powder or to Taste
1 Tsp Cumin Powder
1+1/2 Tsp Black Pepper Powder
1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 Tsp Garam Masala Powder

Complete Recipe (Step by Step)

  • Make slits on all drumsticks.
  • For 1st Marination: Keep all the drumsticks in a large bowl.
  • Sprinkle 1+1/2 tsp salt.
  • Add 1 tbsp garlic paste and 1 tbsp ginger paste.
  • Run ginger and garlic into slits and over drumsticks.
  • Pour 1/3 cup vinegar. Coat drumsticks with vinegar.
  • Cover and let it marinate for 2 hours minimum.
  • remove all the water. Don’t wash drumsticks.
  • For 2nd Marination: Add 1/2 cup yogurt over drumsticks, add 3/4 cup cream.
  • Add the spices which are 1+1/2 tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1/2 tsp garam masala powder, 1+1/2 tsp black pepper powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 2 tbsp lemon juice. Rub all the ingredients over the drumsticks. Covering each piece properly. Every drumstick should be coated well.
  • Cover and let it marinate for overnight in refrigerate. Over night marination is must for the drumsticks to be more flavourful.
  • Next day shallow fry on medium to low flame.
  • Pour 1/4 cup oil over hot plate and place the drumsticks on it. Shallow fry on medium to low flame till golden brown.
  • Empty the remaining marination in a bowl. Apply this marination on drumsticks in between while cooking.
  • Let the drumsticks cook from one side than turn sides when its golden brown.
  • Cover and cook on medium flame for 5 – 6 minutes.
  • After 5 – 6 minutes, uncover and cook on high flame till drumsticks are tender.
  • When all the drumsticks water dries out, brush the remaining marination on each drumstick.
  • Turn the drumsticks and brush the marination on other sides too.
  • Serve juice creamy drumsticks with Raita, Sada and Naan or Puri Paratha.
