Ingredients:
2 Chicken Breasts
1 Cup Corn Flour or as much required
1/2 Tsp Chili Flakes
3/4 Cup Lemon Juice
1 Cup Water
1 Clove
4 Tbsp Sugar
1 Tsp Salt
2 Tbsp Cup Corn Flour
Oil for Frying
Complete Recipe (Step by Step)
- Take 2 chicken breasts cut in half from between.
- Flatten the upper part of the breast. Keep the lower half separate for another dishes. We need only upper part of the chicken breast.
- Place a butter paper over the breast and hammer to flatten. Don’t flatten too thin.
- Rub 1/2 Tsp salt on each side and let it marinate for 30 – 60 minutes.
- For coating chicken. Beat 2 eggs in a flat plate and take another dish and add 1 cup corn flour, 1/2 Tsp chili flakes or to taste. Mix well and keep aside.
- Dip each chicken piece in an egg than with corn flour.
- Dust all the extra corn flakes and repeat the coating for second time. Dip in egg again than in corn flour.
- Coat it properly but not too thick.
- Deep fry till golden in color and fully cooked on medium flame.
- Let the chicken cook from one side for 1 minute than turn it over. Fry till golden brown in color.
- Fry all pieces till golden brown and fully cooked.
- Once its cooked, place on cutting board and cut chicken in 1 inch thick slice.
- Let it cool down and prepare its lemon sauce.
- For preparing lemon sauce. Add 3/4 cup fresh lemon juice in a sauce pan. Add 1/4 cup sugar and 1 clove. Also add 1 cup water in the sauce pan. Let it boil for few minutes till sugar dissolves. When the sauce starts bubbling from the side than add corn flour slurry. For making slurry dissolve 2 Tbsp corn flour in water. Add slurry in the lemon sauce.
- Cook till its little thick in consistency.
- Let the sauce cook down a bit.
- Place chicken pieces in deep dish.
- Pour warm sauce over chicken till its half dipped.
- Cover and let it sit for 10 – 15 minutes. Till chicken absorbs all the sauce.
- Serve the lemon sauce chicken warm. Pour some sauce over chicken pieces. Garnish with lemon slices and coriander leaves and serve.
